Flaxan
Multi-timbral horn quartet dedicated to original music and polyphonic improvisation. Flaxan is equal parts indie-pop horn section and free-jazz chamber ensemble.

Started in August 2020 at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Flaxan came together to develop new sounds outside of the conventions of a traditional improvising ensemble but with roots in the collective improvisation of traditional New Orleans music. Flaxan’s debut recording is currently in production.
